Springwell Nutrition Talk

On Tuesday, May 21 at 11:00 am at the Senior Center, join Springwell for a Nutrition Checkup! Nutrition has long been referred to as a vital sign of older adult health. Good nutrition helps support a healthy & active lifestyle, improve health outcomes and quality of life, as well as reduce healthcare costs. In stark
contrast, malnutrition is associated with poor health outcomes, frailty and disability. Malnutrition is pervasive in hospitalized patients and older adults; nearly 50% of older adults are at risk for malnutrition! During the information session we will discuss what malnutrition is and how you can help prevent it. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for you to be screened for malnutrition (brief questionnaire), speak with a Registered Dietitian, and grab some handouts and giveaways!
