LEFT ON PEARL FILM AND TALK

On Tuesday, September 16, at 1:00 pm, join us for this special film and talk with some of the filmmakers. Left on Pearl is a 55‐minute documentary exploring the 1971 occupation of a Harvard‐owned building by Boston women advocating for a Women’s Center and low‐income housing; a pivotal yet lesser‐known moment in the women’s liberation movement that led to the creation of the longest continuously operating Womenʹs Center in the U.S. The film features archival news footage, interviews with diverse participants, and highlights the social challenges and feminist activism of the era. Some of the women involved in the film have Brookline connections from both living and working here!
