CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH:TRAILBLAZERS BY TIMING, ACTIVISTS BY CHOICE

Wednesday, March 18, 1:00 pm – Location: Brookline Main Library, Hunneman Hall
Transportation: From Senior Center at 12:30 pm.

In 2020, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The struggle didn’t start with the Seneca Falls Woman’s Rights Convention in 1848, though. It started decades before with courageous women who fought for their social, legal and political equality. Based on primary source documents, this program honors the women who worked tirelessly and effected great change in the country. Program includes a talk back with actor Lynne McKenney Lydick after the presentation. This program is made possible by the generous funding of the Brookline Commission for the Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Program is also co-sponsored by the Brookline Senior Center, BrooklineCAN, and the League of Women Voters Brookline.
