Deborah Good Miller

My name is Deborah Good Miller, known as Debbie. And, I’m delighted to accept the position of Administrator/Development Manager of the Brookline Senior Center Foundation! I’ll have an opportunity to do the work that I enjoy, with a dedicated team, at a vital community organization.

Some may know me as the former Executive Director of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce where I was privileged to work with a talented Board, dedicated Town staff, and innovative business community.

Or you may know me through past years of my work as the Development Director at the Brookline Community Mental Health Center – perhaps if you participated in a soccer tournament or Movie Event.

Or we may have crossed paths when I was a Co-PTO President of the now named Florence Ruffin Ridley School.

Or, you may know me from baseball or soccer sidelines as Shel Miller’s wife or Josh and Darren’s Mom. Or, as Eli, Noah, Keaton, Isla, and Jackson’s Grandma Debbie.

I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with forward thinking people, on innovative projects – all within an easy commute.

If we have not met, I look forward to meeting you!

The trajectory of my career has enabled me to experience a wide range of administrative, fundraising, event planning, marketing, and management activities. Only one critical piece was missing: this Brookline Senior Center Administrator/Development Manager position!

My Masters in Social Work was in Administrative/Management in Gerontology. My heroes included: the late BU Gerontology Professor and author Louis Lowy; BU School of Social Work Dean Emeritus and extraordinary community leader Hubie Jones; photographer and author of “After Ninety,” Imogen Cunningham; and the great jazz singer Alberta Hunter. These individuals demonstrate the beauty of community when ALL are valued.

I look forward to collaborating with Brookline Senior Center stakeholders to inspire all ages to recognize and support the Brookline Senior Center Foundation.
