On Thursday, June 1, at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center, join Patricia Burns, former Brookline Senior Center Volunteer Coordinator, as she shares another of her African experiences: “Eight Years in Botswana.” This presentation will highlight her 8+ years working in Botswana. She will discuss the geography and culture that led to Botswana being the country with the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world and the proactive political climate that prevented the population from becoming extinct. She will also show pictures relating to the beautiful animals of the Okavango Delta, art forms from naturally available resources, and nearby Victoria Falls.
