Our Amazing Democracy: American Government

Letʹs review the basics of how our democracy works! The U.S. Constitution (written over 230 years ago) spells it all out. This is comforting to remember as we move into 2024.Weʹll survey the 3 Branches of government: the different powers of the President, the Congress, and the Courts. How do they work together? And much more. We’ll also consult modern historians and discover how they view the today’s American government with respect to our democracy’s history. No experience necessary. Join us at the Senior Center for Eight Sessions on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm from January 31 through April 10 (No Class: February 21, March 6, and March 27). The instructor is Elynn Gayle who has 30 years of experience teaching English and creating imaginative curriculum. Currently teaching at Boston University.
