On Thursday, January 23 from 11am-12pm, join students from the FASCO (Faculty and Student Community Outreach) club at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (MCPHS) for this helpful presentation. Join them for a comprehensive Dementia Training session designed specifically for the Brookline community! This event is aimed at providing essential knowledge and practical skills to better understand and support individuals living with dementia. Whether you’re a caregiver, healthcare professional, family member, or community member, this training will equip you with the tools to improve communication, recognize signs and symptoms, and offer compassionate care. Our expert trainers will cover a range of topics, including: the basics of dementia and different types, effective communication strategies, managing challenging behaviors, creating a supportive and inclusive environment, and available resources and local support networks. This training is free of charge and open to all members of the Brookline community. Together, we can build a more understanding and supportive environment for those affected by dementia.
