CREATIVE AGING UNBOUND EVENTS BRING ART, MUSIC, AND CONNECTION TO THE BROOKLINE SENIOR CENTER

This fall, the Brookline Senior Center will host Creative Aging Unbound, an inspiring series celebrating the creative spirit of older adults through exhibitions, performances, and hands‐on workshops. Presented by Creative Aging Connections, a Goddard House initiative celebrating creativity, individuality, and community among older adults across Greater Boston, these events invite the community to discover the power of self‐expression, social connection, and lifelong learning. We hope you will join us for the following events. Please register at 617‐730‐2770.

Reception & Live Performance by The Double OGs Band: Thursday, October 23 from
1:00‐1:30 pm. Join us to learn about the Creative Aging Unbound exhibition and enjoy the infectious
music of The Double OGs, a lively band of older adults from a Dorchester senior housing
community. Led by guitarist and New England Conservatory faculty member Dr. Lau Mantilla, The
Double OGs will light up the Senior Center with soul and Motown favorites—celebrating
community, creativity, and the joy of music at any age.

Pop Art Collage Workshop
On Wednesday, November 19 from 1:00 ‐ 2:30 pm, join Goddard House’s Creative Aging Connections teaching artist Laura Newbold for a fun, hands‐on collage workshop inspired by Pop Art pioneer Roy Lichtenstein. Participants will use images from Lichtenstein’s famous works—like “Look Mickey” and
“Ohhh…Alright…”—to create their own visual stories celebrating pop culture and imagination.
